What is Crypto faucet?

Cryptocurrency faucets are websites or apps that give users small amounts of cryptocurrency.

The amount can vary anywhere from 100 Satoshis (0.000001BTC) up to 10,000 Satoshis and more (0.0001BTC).

Like most crypto-related inventions, faucets started out with Bitcoin.

Most cryptocurrency faucets involve the completion of captchas, but there are some exceptions where you can earn crypto either by mining, completing surveys, or playing games.

How much is a Satoshi?

Each bitcoin is equal to 100 million Satoshis, making a Satoshi the smallest unit of bitcoin currently recorded on the blockchain. Think of the Satoshi as the “cents” part of bitcoin. But unlike a penny that represents 0.01 USD, Satoshi represents roughly 0.00000001 BTC — or bitcoin to its eighth decimal.

Are crypto faucets safe?

The faucets that only require your wallet address are safe, in that they can't really do anything to you except give you tiny amounts of coin. ... As fun as it can be to get free money, the faucets give you very very little at a time, so you can solve captchas all week and still earn less than a dollar.

Are Bitcoin faucets worth it?

Bitcoin faucets are a nice idea, but they are hardly worth it, and they will likely end up wasting your time for fractions of a dollar per hour.

How do Bitcoin faucets make money?

From a referral system. Faucets will let you earn a percentage of the Bitcoins they give away to visitors you brought in.

This method is so successful that it's the main traffic source for most faucets and it also created a new type of website – The Bitcoin faucet rotator.
